I hope you EXPAND...
Hi friends,
sometimes therapists can be confusing...
You may often hear us encouraging you to listen to what you are believing about yourself. I often advise that too.
The thing is that for some of us that is confusing, hard to do, or just hard to do sometimes.
You may not be sure what it is you are believing or not.
One way to work on listening to false beliefs you want to get rid of, and loving truths you want to believe more of - is to observe yourself with kind curiosity.
You can often see what you’re believing about yourself by how you’re engaging.
When you are not believing your worth, you may find yourself wanting to shrink.
When you are walking in the truth of your loveliness and worth, you may want to expand - and share yourself and your heart with the world.
Becoming a loving observer of yourself, and how you are engaging with the world around you, can be a helpful way to learn what you are believing about yourself.
I hope you believe the truth and expand.
I taught this weekend with a therapist friend of mine all about the brain...it reminded me of our teaching videos - have you seen them?
Here is one stored on Instagram:
Video 1 about couples and the pandemic.
The more permission we give ourselves to be human, the less shame we feel - this is the heart of my recent conversation with Atlanta Parent....
I loved talking to Atlanta Parent about burnout, and the mental and relational health of couples, single parents, and essential workers during the pandemic.

This Still Becoming Conversation (Ep 61) with writer, poet, and author Q. Gibson was so inspiring.
I started Q.'s practice of writing 3 things I am grateful for FIRST thing in the morning before I check my phone or do anything else. I highly recommend it.
This Friday author Rachel Macy Stafford is one the podcast, and you will not want to miss her vulnerability and wisdom about connecting to self and to your children (if that applies).
Final thoughts today:
