Sometimes we overstay...
I often think:
(But what if we felt the freedom to leave what is not loving for us?)
You have permission to exit the conversations, both internally and externally, that are hurting you.
When you find yourself ruminating on what so-and-so might think about you, gently remind yourself that you can leave the room. You don’t have to stay in this internal dialogue.
This is true for conversations with our internal critics, as well as with people in our lives.
One of the most important boundaries we can set up is deciding what we are willing to tolerate.
