A Very Un-NewYears Thought...
This is a very Un-New Years thought...
(I thought I would share it in case anyone can relate.)
Sometimes change doesn't look like something new. Sometimes change is returning to what you have forgotten.
I won't bore you with the same adjectives to describe this past year - you know them, you've lived them.
But what I will add to all the inspiring New Years talk is this...some of us may have gotten a bit lost, or run down, or overwhelmed, or depressed, or just run over this year.
And when that happens, like being plunged into a whirlpool, you can lose your footing and forget which way is up, and which way is out.
So this New Years, if you are crawling more than sprinting to the finish line....Sometimes a fresh start is re-finding yourself, reconnecting with who you are, reconnecting with what you believe, reconnecting with what you know about God.
Change isn't always shiny, and new, and goal oriented.
Oftentimes it is a quiet whisper of what you forgot, and are so relieved to remember.
And just like you might have been told when you were a child: if you get lost, return to the last place you know and wait.
I have a free downloadable resource!
My very first - please tell me what you think!
(There is even a wallpaper for your phone.)
This is designed as a way to connect and reconnect to yourself, perfect for the New Year, and some Un-New Year thoughts...

This is beautiful - “My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart.”
